Dr. Jill Daugherty brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she served as an epidemiologist and then team lead for the traumatic brain injury program.

At the CDC, she spearheaded the development of their TBI surveillance portfolio and ensured that educational and prevention initiatives addressed critical public health needs. Her extensive expertise covers epidemiological methods, health behavior, and qualitative research. Dr. Daugherty's background also includes roles at the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics and significant contributions during multiple deployments to the COVID-19 response, where she advised on health disparity issues and public guidance.

Dr. Daugherty holds a PhD in Sociology and an MPH in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Emory University, as well as a BS in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University.
