Conference Content Tracks

Main Conference

SOS 2024 will feature a track of content dedicated to the Criminal Legal System and Brain Injury. Existing resources and tools will be shared. Presenters representing all aspects of the system will discuss challenges and areas for intervention of best practice approaches for brain injury. Examples of training, screening, and collaboration will be reviewed, and various criminal legal providers will be represented in presentations. States and partners can learn from successful models and take home examples to apply to their work.

Pre-Conference

The pre-conference for 2024 will be focused on Medicaid Home & Community Based Services and Brain Injury Best Practices. National Subject Matter Experts will discuss existing services and potential areas for supports that states can explore, as well as provide guidance on procedures and processes. Resources for technical assistance and support will be identified.

States and partners will share current practices and supports, and plan for future expansion of the types and extent of services as well as additional funding sources and potential providers.

Both the Pre-conference session on HCBS and the special content track on CLS are intended for brain injury programs AND their partners within the HCBS, Medicaid and CLS fields to learn together.  Please spread the word to your counterparts in the state working within these areas!
