The disability focus within NWD and what it means to serve as a service access site
How brain injury programs can support upcoming Medicaid changes, including Community Engagement and Re-Enrollments
NWD’s connection to Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC)
Messaging strategies for brain injury programs to strengthen Medicaid-related infrastructure
Opportunities for collaboration with NWD community-based partners, such as Centers for Independent Living
This session highlighted how brain injury programs are uniquely positioned to contribute to—and benefit from—NWD initiatives, ensuring more inclusive and accessible systems for individuals with brain injury and other disabilities.
In addition, NASHIA also provided updates on the federal and legislative landscape, including updates on funding opportunities and appropriations.
