Experience SOS 2025 Through Our Lens

SOS 2025 marked our most attended State of the States in Brain Injury Conference to date, and the energy in Portland was unmatched. This year’s event brought together a record number of professionals, advocates, and individuals with lived experience, all united in advancing systems of care for people with brain injury.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made it possible - our attendees, presenters, sponsors, and exhibitors - for contributing your time, talent, and enthusiasm to this incredible gathering. Our photo gallery highlights the best moments, from inspiring keynotes and packed sessions to meaningful connections and community celebrations. Awards and Scholarships

**Congratulations to Ashlea Whaley of the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence on receiving the Susan Vaughn Legacy Scholarship Award in 2025!

Serving Our Surroundings

Mission Working Dogs trains purpose-bred dogs to assist people with disabilities, empowering them to live with greater independence and fulfillment.

SOS 2025 attendees had the opportunity to interact with the puppies-in-training, and the four NASHIA membership regional areas competed through a supply drive for the organization.

Local Artist Spotlight

Thank you to Daryne Rockett, who sometimes uses the pseudonym Doodle Rex, a local Maine artist and brain injury survivor, for joining us at SOS 2025!

The art piece, "Abstract Thought," was kindly loaned by Daryne to NASHIA for SOS 2025 in order to bring art, beauty, and lived experience to our conference materials.

Learn more about Daryne and purchase art online at their website below.
