Emerging Approaches to Facilitating Community-Based Self-Management for Individuals With Brain Injury
Explore newly developing cutting-edge strategies for empowering self-management in individuals with brain injury through accessible interventions.

  • Dr. Angelle Sander will present on the importance of self-management for maintaining health following TBI and will report on the progress toward development of an electronic self-management tool (SELF-TBI) that is under development with extensive guidance from community partners.

  • Dr. Shannon Juengst will present a systematic problem-solving training intervention that can be delivered individually with a coach, and has been developed into an electronic version that is currently being validated.

Traumatic Brain Injury Across the Pediatric Lifespan
Dr. Julie Haarbauer-Krupa, recipient of the Robert L. Moody Prize, will share insights into how models of care vary for pediatric brain injury injuries, highlighting approaches for supporting children under age 5 through transition to adulthood.
