HRSA-Funded Projects

Idaho received a HRSA Planning Grant in 2000-2003 and a three-year Implementation Grant, 2004-2006. The goal of this grant project is to develop a sustainable, comprehensive, coordinated, community-based system of support for individuals with TBI and their families that addresses all age groups, levels of acuity, and racial and ethnic groups through a distributed, statewide expert decision support Virtual Program Center (VPC) guiding providers; individuals with TBI, their families; and the general public. As a result of the VPC's series of Grand Rounds, providers and individuals with TBI and families across Idaho, Washington, and Wyoming have had access to experts in the field of TBI ranging from clinical practice to multiple funding issues, which has subsequently resulted in collaborations in several communities.
