Service Delivery

In Arkansas Medicaid covers hospitalization and some rehabilitative services while in the hospital for all ages. For persons over age 21, there are limited post-acute services and these are fee-for-service. Adults age 21 and older with TBI can access some services through a variety of agencies such as rehabilitation services by contacting a service coordinator or vocational rehabilitation counselor if they meet eligibility criteria. These are funded through Medicaid or general revenue. Children with TBI seek services through medical services or when identified under IDEA, through local school districts.
