Across the country and in Washington, DC, awareness and understanding of brain injury are alarmingly low. NASHIA informs policymakers of the status of State service delivery nationwide and works in partnership with a cross section of agencies and organizations in support of brain injury systems development and change. Comments, position papers, Congressional visits, testimony, and other activities are conducted by NASHIA members in support of Federal policy that is favorable to States in the administration of brain injury services including legislation that positively impacts the broader disability community.
