Overview

Although there is a wide range of pressing needs, NASHIA favors efforts to protect and promote the health and welfare of the American people and urges the highest possible allocation by The White House and Congress in funding public health and social programs.

Letter to Senator Byrd, Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee [PDF 94 KB] with 795 organizations as signers (including NASHIA) sent March 4, 2007 by the Coalition of Heath Funding urging an allocation for the House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education Appropriations Subcommittees that reflects at least a $14 billion increase above the FY 2007 level.
