Contributions are one of the most crucial sources of revenue for NASHIA. Your tax-deductible contributions and in-kind donations support NASHIA’s public policy and advocacy efforts, as well as our member services that link state government employees to one another for peer mentoring, provide for collective representation, and promote the exchange of promising practices around TBI systems development.
Direct Donation Options
Unrestricted
Donations of all sizes are welcome. The “Quick Gift Guide” to the right will give you an idea of what your donation might help support. Make a gift in honor or in memory of a friend, family member, loved one, or colleague. If your employer has a matching gift program, your gift to NASHIA may be doubled or even tripled. Your human resources office can supply you with specific instructions about its process for matching gifts.
Public Policy and Reserve Fund
Make a gift to support the NASHIA’s public policy and advocacy efforts and to help build a reserve fund.
In-Kind
Make an in-kind gift of computer equipment, software, services, or other materials—to name just a few examples. To discuss in-kind donations in more detail contact Jeff Henderson, Finance and Administration Manager, at 301-656-3147 or jphenderson@tbitac.nashia.org.
Why We Need Your Help
Membership in NASHIA is voluntary; while some state agencies pay dues, the majority of our members pay individual dues. Our budget is small and there is always more work to be done. All support, regardless of the size or the type, makes a difference to NASHIA. Through publications, Web sites, educational opportunities, and more, NASHIA helps its members and others interested in state government balance the ever-increasing needs with the ever-decreasing pool of public resources. As a result there is improved availability and quality of services and supports for individuals and families.
Additional Ways You Can Support NASHIA
We recognize that you invest in ways that reflect your interests and express your values. We invite you to review these additional options for supporting NASHIA:
Planned Giving
You can make a significant gift that costs nothing now, such as a bequest. You can even make a gift to NASHIA that provides income to you or a loved one. These gifts can be made with many types of assets, from the most common (e.g., cash and securities) to the more unusual (e.g., property, collectibles, or retirement assets). Many people use planned gifts to help them make a substantial impact more affordably.
While we recommend that you consult with an attorney, below is some suggested language to help you get started. Contact Jeff Henderson, Finance and Administration Manager, at 301-656-3147 or jphenderson@tbitac.nashia.org for additional information.
“I give and bequeath the sum of $___________ (or____________% of my estate) to the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators, located at 4330 East West Highway, Suite 301, Bethesda, MD 20814 to be used for its general purposes.”
You may also give a particular asset (“my shares of XYZ stock…”) or a portion of the residue of your estate after other bequests have been paid (“50% of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate…”).
SOS Sponsorship
NASHIA’s State-of-the-States in Head Injury Meeting was the first and is the only annual national conference designed to foster communication and competency development among state government brain injury program administrators. Each year almost every state and territory is represented with over 200 key state government employees in the field of brain injury, Brain Injury Association of America chartered state affiliates, and other professionals responsible for planning or administering brain injury prevention, rehabilitation, or community integration programs and services.
The following sponsorship opportunities are available for this conference. Contact Jeff Henderson, Finance and Administration Manager, at 301-656-3147 or jphenderson@tbitac.nashia.org to discuss any of the opportunities.
Exhibit Space
Showcase your products and services in exhibit space that is integrally arranged around meeting and banquet functions. Exhibitors receive an 8’ by 10’ space, a 6’ draped table, wastebasket, and chair. Your exhibit fee comes with a 25-word description in the final program and one complimentary meeting registration. Limited electricity is available at additional cost.
Banquet Sponsors
Banquet sponsorship opportunities are available to companies and organizations seeking the highest level of visibility and recognition among meeting participants. The sponsorship includes one complimentary meeting registration, signage during the banquet event, and acknowledgement in the opening general session and the Conference Program. Opportunities include:
Program Advertisement

Submit your black and white OR color advertisement in Microsoft Word, QuarkXPress, Illustrator EPS, or tiff format.
